Vegan, meaning leather-free, is made from various natural raw materials. One such alternative, developed over many years, is “pineapple leather” or piñatex, which is made from fibers from pineapple leaves.

TOKU Athens sandals , created by award-winning Estonian fashion designer Piibe Tomp, are inspired by the aesthetics of ancient Greek footwear. Handmade in Europe, these sandals feature a closed heel and an adjustable ankle strap for a secure fit. The upper is made of piñatex, while the soft microfiber lining ensures comfort. The durable and flexible outsole is designed for optimal walking comfort. Each pair of TOKU shoes is a masterpiece from a small family-owned company in southern Estonia, which has been fine-tuning its craftsmanship since 1927. Following the slow fashion philosophy, they use only natural, high-quality materials to create versatile, long-lasting designs that stand the test of time. The jury of the Estonian Design Awards has called the TOKU brand the new Estonian classic.
